Marisa Morea | Marisa Morea’s playful and lively illustration for La noche en blanco promoting the use of bicycles around the city is splendid. I love Marisa’s untraditional use of color, her fantastic combination of stains and lines creating wonderful characters. Marisa Morea is an illustrator originally from Madrid, Spain currently traveling between London and Barcelona. She holds a BA in communication design from Universidad Complutense de Madrid as well as studying design and art direction at Universitat Ramon Llull and illustration at EINA. Her clients include Sharp, Springfield, El Corte Inglés, Club de creativos, Barcelonés, Turismo de Canarias, Caprice de Dieux, Club Leteo and Indyrock.
Biernes is an initiative that promotes the use of the bike on Friday. On the occasion of La Noche en Blanco (Madrid) on September 11 Biernes has organized an exhibition of 25 pieces inspired graphics on the culture of the bike. The pieces will be displayed in bus shelters, a bigsize, backlight from the roundabout Jiménez Ruiz to Cibeles. It’ll be the first exhibition that can travel by bike: two pleasures in one.
