Little Red Riding Hood is a story that speaks of fear, uncertainty, ingenuity, surprise … I wanted to catch those emotions. On the other hand I am also interested in the idea that it was the reader to interpret the pictures and create their own version of the story. I wanted to somehow recover from the experience of “telling a story.” So the album takes on a new dimension, not exhausted and the story can be read again and again. Everyone knows the story, characters, dialogue … In this case, I felt that the text does not add anything new, but limited. A Narwhal editors liked the idea and opted for the project from the beginning… From Perrault to this day, the story of Little Red Riding Hood has been told a thousand times. There is a key figure in all these versions of the story: fear. He has been instrumental in addressing this adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood. I liked the idea of presenting the classic tale as a game of perception, a dance between the three characters … Little Red Riding Hood, the wolf and fear. And keeping in mind that the book is aimed at a broad audience, especially children.
